On a crisp January morning in 2020, the world of dog grooming brought together four new friends—two humans and their beloved dogs, Toby and Chai. While their moms worked, Toby and Chai forged a playful bond, with Toby’s nimble leaps dodging Chai’s lumbering, bear-like paw swipes before she retreated to her ‘cave’ (her crate). Their antics—like a goat and a bear in a spirited dance—brought endless laughter, inspiration, and joy, especially during tough times.

Dreams of creating our own salon took root, and the name “Goat & Bear” felt just right.
